Side by side, Xiaomi is also focusing on the Android 13 update for a few of its devices. The company has started developing this update for its user’s developer preview program. This developer program will be available only for Xiaomi’s flagship smartphones and soon this will be ready for various Xiaomi devices in various markets.

Xiaomi Android 13 – Latest Info

[Update: July 22, 2022] 

  • MIUI 14 spotted in Xiaomi 13 codebase 

According to the latest report from xiaomiui, a new phone with MIUI 14 and codenamed “nuwa” has appeared in the Xiaomi codebase, possibly the second of Xiaomi’s Mi 13 series. This means that the Xiaomi Mi 13 series is still in preparation and could be the first series to use the MIUI 14 operating system, and both will be unveiled at the same conference.

  • Xiaomi Android 13-based MIUI Tester Program released 

Xiaomi has started rolling out the Android 13-based MIUI tester program for Xiaomi Mi 12 and 12 Pro smartphone users. Currently, this update is rolled out for limited customers, the company will be rolling out this update gradually for Redmi POCO devices, and will be rolled out to all eligible users to access the stable platform.

Requirements for Xiaomi Android 13-based MIUI Tester Program 

  • Must own and use the said smartphone; Can actively participate in tests, feedback, and suggestions.
  • The phone will have to log in with the same ID that he/she had filled in the recruitment form.
  • Must have a high tolerance for issues and be willing to cooperate with engineers by providing detailed information.
  • Have the ability to recover the phone if flashing fails and be prepared to take the risk of a failed update.
  • Applicants’ age should be 18 years or above.
