To offer customers a seamless experience, Google provides sets of wallpapers alongside a dedicated website, that includes a range of options to choose from, and one of the best examples of this is the Earth View wallpaper. Meanwhile, Google seems to have silently dropped support for its Earth View wallpaper collection.
According to the information, Google appears to have shut down the website for its Earth View collection of satellite-captured wallpapers and Chromecast backgrounds. The website currently leads to a 404 error, while the Chrome extension is only able to show a randomly selected image and your recent history.
Google offered a full website for Earth View that allows easy downloads, as well as a dedicated Chrome extension that replaces the default New Tab page.
