Google Workspace comes with new icons for its apps

Today, Google has announced that “Gsuite” is now revamped to “Google Workspace”  along with this, the company is rolling out a new brand identity for all its productivity apps including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, as well as for content creation tools like Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

“In the coming weeks, you will see new four-color icons for Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, and our collaborative content creation tools like Docs, Sheets, Slides that are part of the same family.”

Now the icons of all the products will be designed in the four-color theme. As the icon of the new Google Maps, icons of other apps will be seen like this.

Gmail: The new Gmail icon follows a design style like Google Maps. Instead of shadows, layers Have been used.

Google Calendar: Its icon is something similar to the new Gmail icon. Now it is square with a crease in the bottom-right corner and “31” is placed in the middle of the icon.

Google Drive: There are no major changes in the Drive icon but the edges get slightly rounded.

Google Docs: This is basically Drive’s icon but it is creased at the top-right corner and This rectangle looks like the alphabet ‘D.’

Google Meet: Basic shape has just been converted to video camera icons so that this new logo looks good.
