WhatsApp adds new email sign-in feature to enhance account security

After several UI-related functions, WhatsApp is working on a new security feature that will support email sign-in for users’ accounts. The latest tweak is currently in the testing phase and is available for a handful of beta testers via the Google Play Store.

Spotted in the Android 2.23.16.15 beta version, WhatsApp is bringing the email sign-in security feature to protect your account. Eventually, the application will ask for your email address to enhance and verify your account. This is also useful at times when you lose your number which directly risks access to your account.

Accordingly, it will be an optional feature that users can opt for as per their will. Since the feature is under development, there aren’t many revealings on it. Though things will get clear with a stable app update.
