Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max may launch in September 2022

After WWDC22, Apple’s new products will enter a period of silence. The next most anticipated new product is the new iPhone 14 series, especially the iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max, which will also be reserved this year and have some exclusive features. 9to5Mac brings a summary of the iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max.

After relatively modest year-over-year upgrades between Apple’s iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, Apple is expected to bring some more significant changes with this year’s iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be the models that embody the biggest changes.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to feature a new “pill + punch-hole screen” instead of a notch. This will free up some extra screen space.

Other rumored features of the iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max include:

  • Upgraded front camera with auto focus function

  • The new rear camera supports 48-megapixel shooting and 8K video recording

  • The built-in new A16 chip

  • new purple colorway

  • AOD screen display function

iPhone 14 Pro Max release date

The release date of Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max is expected to be sometime in September this year. With some exceptions, Apple’s latest iPhone models are usually released in September.

Apple usually holds a special event on the first or second Tuesday in September to announce new iPhone models. This year, it is expected to be September 6th or September 13th. Pre-orders usually start on the Friday of the week of the event, with the official launch a week later.

Given the ongoing supply chain issues, Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max release or launch date could be delayed. However, recently, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that the iPhone 14 series is still expected to be released normally in September this year. The iPhone 14 Pro Max phone may be “delayed”, but the current situation is “controllable”, and the overall delay is unlikely.
