OnePlus confirms Sony IMX766 ultra-wide camera coming in OnePlus 9

OnePlus will unveil its OnePlus 9 series on March 23 that will bring three new smartphones namely the OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, and 9 R/Lite. While the leaks and rumors are continuously coming for the series and the company has also started teasing these smartphones by revealing some key details.

As per the latest information, OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 9 will use a Sony IMX766 camera sensor for ultra-wide shots. And it is likely that this feature will be available on the OnePlus 9 Pro model. The company is focusing to provide a better camera in partnership with the Swedish camera specialist, Hasselblad.

As per the previously leaked camera specs, besides the 50MP wide-angle camera, the OnePlus 9 will have a 48MP IMX789 primary camera, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP shooter. The lineup is also confirmed to come with Hasselblad Pro mode for next-level photography.

Taking a glimpse at the specs of the OnePlus 9 from the leaked info, the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, while the OnePlus 9 R/Lite will come with the Snapdragon 870 processor.

This premium range of smartphones from OnePlus will be featuring high-end functionalities including the Fluid AMOLED Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution. The Pro model will equip a curved edge display and the other two will have flat panels.
