Realme Race passed BIS certification, India launch imminent

Several smartphone makers including Samsung and Xiaomi have already launched their flagships with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. Moving forward, Realme has also announced that it will soon launch new premium phones that will be powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Recently, we’ve encountered some reports suggesting that the upcoming Realme device carries a model number RMX2201 and it is codenamed as Realme Race. According to the latest news, this new smartphone is listed on the BIS certification site that hints it will soon hit the Indian market.

On the other hand, Realme Race with model number RMX2202 has recently spotted on China’s TENAA site which also exposed the images of this upcoming phone. However, the company has confirmed that it will be launched after Chinese New Year. Moreover, after its China launch, Realme will expand this lineup for other regions.

Previous reports reveal that Realme will launch two smartphones in the series as Realme Race and Realme Race Pro. The top variant – Realme Race Pro is expected to sport a 6.8-inch OLED display with Quad HD+ resolution. It will have a 64MP triple camera setup along with 13MP+13MP other sensors.

Furthermore, it packs a large 5000mAh battery with 125W fast charging support and will come pre-installed with the Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 operating system.

Still, the company has not yet revealed the availability, specs, and price of Realme Race and Race Pro. We’ll surely receive further information regarding them as soon as they come closer to launch, till then stay tuned.
