Xiaomi could discontinue Mi 11 Ultra in India

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra MIUI 13 Android 12 update

Currently, the Mi 11 Ultra is the latest high-end smartphone of Xiaomi that has made its availability in almost all major smartphone markets. Since its launch, it is being loved by the masses and has received huge success.

Meanwhile, a piece of new information suggests that Xiaomi is planning to discontinue Mi 11 Ultra in India. The smartphone listing was also taken down from Xiaomi’s official website since it was out of stock for the past few weeks.

According to a report by India Today Tech, the company has permanently discontinued the smartphone in the country with a target of releasing a new flagship phone (could be Xiaomi 12) in 2022.

Why was Mi 11 Ultra discontinued?

Well, Xiaomi India import Mi 11 Ultra smartphone from China. Because of this, Xiaomi had to incur several expenses and import duties since the device was not manufactured here. Reportedly, this is one of the main reasons behind the discontinuation.

Another reason behind the company taking this spet could be the global chip shortage. Due to chip shortages, extremely limited stock and import delays associated with flagship devices also hampered their cause.

Anyways, the company is yet to release an official announcement o this matter, although we expect an official statement to be released soon.
