EMUI 11 coming in the third quarter of 2020, confirms Huawei

On the 8th anniversary of EMUI in the year 2020, Huawei’s mobile operating system and the company has confirmed that EMUI 11 (based on Android 10) will launch in the third quarter of this year.

EMUI 11 will be released in the third quarter (Q3) of this year is today officially confirmed by Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei Consumer Business Software.

He also stated that this upcoming version of EMUI will be based on distributed technology introduced in EMUI 10 and will enhance application performance and improve user experience in different scenarios.

EMUI 11 is also built on open source Android 11 and going to come with new smart home features, improved privacy, and user data security. The official also talked about EMUI progress from version 5.0 to the recent EMUI 10 in previous years.

Currently,  the exact date of the launch didn’t confirm but similar to the last year. Huawei will unveil the EMUI 11 at Huawei Developers Conference 2020 (HDC 20) Consumer somewhere in August.

Following the announcement, the Huawei P40 series and Mate 40 series will be opened the EMUI 11 beta testing and will launch new devices launch pre-installed with this new software.
