Google modifies Chrome Address Bar with new additions

Google Chrome, one of the world’s most popular web browsers, has always been at the forefront of innovation and user experience. In its latest update, Chrome’s address bar receives significant enhancements, making browsing even more convenient and user-friendly.

Google is rolling out a series of updates to the Chrome address bar that improves the accuracy of autocomplete across desktop and mobile browsers with some new enhancements like smarter autocomplete, typo correction, and bookmark search.

One of the standout features of Chrome’s revamped address bar is its smarter autocomplete functionality. If you type the beginning of a URL correctly, the Chrome address bar on a desktop will complete it based on any word you’ve previously used to search for a website.

The misspelled URL names will now be detected and return suggestions based on previously visited websites on Chrome for Android, iOS, and desktop. Similarly, Chrome will now also suggest popular sites even if you’ve never visited them or mistyped the URL.

Not only this but now you can even search within bookmark folders by including the name of the folder in the search on mobile and desktop. Consequently, the latest update has also modified the visual layout on the desktop which makes the Omnibox more responsive and easier to read.
