OnePlus is trying its best to bring the Canvas AOD & Insight AOD to more OnePlus series, including the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series. What is Canvas AOD and Insight AOD? Read below.
If you are using the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, or OnePlus 8T, you may have already noticed that there are some new ambient display options and Always-On Display or AOD!

You can go to Settings – Display – Ambient display – Always-on ambient display to find it. Also, there is a Schedule option which allows you to enable AOD only in a specific time period.
About Canvas AOD, it simply takes a photo of a person, set it as your wallpaper, activate the Canvas! It’s always on your screen. Canvas works better with faces, so try to find a photo with a clear outline.
You can also customizing wallpaper or ambient clock style, Canvas can be quickly found in Customization. Yes, for now, it is still a beta version which means the company is still working on it.
