Report: iOS 14 download exceeds 25% in its first week of release

It has been almost one week since Apple released iOS 14 and recent analytics shows that this iOS 14 reached more than 25% of active iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. A mobile analytics company Mixpanel kept track of the iOS 14 download history from the date of its launch.

Till the date iOS 14 is installed on approximately 27.98% of compatible devices. The iOS 14 downloads surpassed the iOS 13, Which was installed on 20% of active devices in the first week of its launch.

Mixpanel measures data on the basis of the number of visits on the website and also uses its mobile analytics SDKs, so the data is not fully accurate. But it is approximate to the extent and is reliable. Although Apple did not share any analytics for iOS 14 and it releases data at least after a month of any major update. So, till now there is no official data available.

Apple introduced many new features along with the iOS 14. The Home Screen widgets feature has proven to be the most popular feature so far. Other features such as picture-in-picture videos and the ability to change default browser and mail apps also gained popularity.
