Samsung has confirmed to resolve the Exynos modem vulnerability with the upcoming April 2023 update. This would be a great relief for users who have been troubled by the mentioned issue for a long time.

As per the input revealings, Samsung acknowledged the Exynos modem vulnerabilities and their impact on its user’s privacy. On the other hand, Google’s Project Zero team has discovered 18 vulnerabilities in the Samsung Exynos modem.

Out of the total number, 6 Exynos modem vulnerability are applicable on Galaxy devices, while the remaining one will be fixed with the Samsung April 2023 update. For your information, the March 2023 security patch has already fixed 5 of these defects.

The company’s in-charge restated that “Samsung takes the safety of our customers very seriously.” The group found that 6 Exynos modem vulnerabilities “may potentially impact” select Galaxy devices. However, none of these are leveled “severe/critical.”

Some of the critical Exynos modem vulnerabilities require certain 5G features to be turned on to make an impact on devices. So as a temporary solution, you can turn off Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE features on your Galaxy device.
