Samsung’s Internet browser can now sync bookmarks with Google Chrome

The latest stable version (v19.0.1.2) of the official browser (Samsung Internet Browser) that comes with Samsung mobile phones can now synchronize bookmarks with the Google Chrome browser, a feature that will be available this summer first launched on the app’s beta channel, it’s now finally available to all users.

To enable Chrome bookmark sync, users first need to install the Internet Chrome extension and log in with a Samsung account. Once logged in, click the Chrome Bookmarks option in the extension to import all Chrome bookmarks into the extension.

Samsung Internet Browser ChromeTo sync Chrome bookmarks to the Samsung browser on your phone, update the app to the latest version and sync Chrome bookmarks on the app settings page. Synced bookmarks will appear in the Samsung browser’s bookmarks menu as a new “Chrome bookmarks folder”.

Interestingly, this bookmark sync feature did not appear in the official changelog. The update also brings new privacy information features to each website, a new Samsung Internet gadget, the ability to use add-ons in stealth mode, smart anti-tracking, and more.
