Microsoft released a preview version of Windows 10 version 21H2 Build 19044.1320 (KB5006738) for Insiders. The update includes improvements to Build 19044.1319, as well as the following additional changes.

  • Fixed a known issue that may prevent the successful installation of printers using the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP).

In addition, Microsoft also released the Windows 10 version 21H1 Build 19043.1320 (KB5006738) Release preview version.

To check and see if you are running Windows 10 version 21H1 or 21H2, just type “winver” in the Windows search box on the taskbar. It should be displayed as “21H1 version” or “21H2 version”.

The following is the improvement log of Build 19044.1319:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from accessing the pre-configuration page during the OOBE of the system’s first boot interface. This problem occurs when a user logs in to Azure Active Directory and presses the Win key 5 times.

  • Some new features have been added to facilitate certain cross-browser data transfers.

  • Solved the problem of setting access permissions for the assigned booth when using the Edge browser booth mode. If the user closes the browser window, these booths may not be able to launch Edge again.

  • Solved the problem of intermittent black screen when using App-V when logging in on the credential page.

  • Fixed an issue that may prevent certain video applications and streaming video websites from displaying subtitles.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Software-Defined Networking (SDN) virtual machine to fail to run when the user configured the Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) virtual private network bandwidth limit.

  • Fixed the issue of updating the main refresh token (PRT) when virtual private network users use Windows Hello for businesses to log in offline. For users who log in with Azure Active Directory-Conditional Access, they may unexpectedly receive an authentication prompt.

  • Solved the problem that Windows to go would enter the BitLocker recovery mode after the system was updated.
