According to the latest report, Roblox founder and CEO David Baszucki said in an interview that the online gaming platform’s business plan nearly 20 years ago foresaw the rise of the metaverse.

Baszucki stated that Roblox has been working hard to create a similar version since its establishment in 2004. Our business plan 17 years ago predicted this new classification. In the past 16 years, we have been innovating in this field, not only building an excellent player community, but also an excellent developer community.
Moreover, Baszucki added: “Our entire company is very focused on innovation to promote and guide the vision of what some people call the meta-universe.”
