Honor 10 Lite getting August 2020 security update and Huawei Assistant

Honor is sending a new software update for Honor 10 Lite. This update installs a new security patch released in August 2020 for better system security and added Huawei Assistant which provides smart reminders, personalized news, and more.

The August 2020 security patch fixes a different level of exploits and issues that includes 1 severe and 19 high-level CVE’s and enhances the overall device performance.

  • The update will not erase any data
  • Update size may vary sometimes
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to Wifi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Click on system & updates
  3. Click on the software update
  4. Check for update
  5. Click on the download button
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen
  8. Reboot the device

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store
  3. Open service tab
  4. Tap on update
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen
  9. Reboot the device
