Meanwhile, the HarmonyOS 2.0, the company is also releasing the new software update for Mate X2 foldable phone. This firmware mainly brings improvements and optimizations for display and system to boost overall device performance.

No security patch has been detected in this software update as the changelog mentions. It brings optimizations in the touch sensitivity, system stability, and fixes the issue of abnormal desktop font colors that were not accurately presented in some scenarios.

The new firmware for the Mate X2 phones can be identified with the EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.170SP2 upgraded from EMUI 11.0.0.165SP2.

It is important to note that the update is currently rolling out in batches and may take time to reach your device. It is recommended for you to maintain enough amount of battery and storage on your device. The EMUI version and size of the update may vary.

Huawei Mate X2 stable HarmonyOS 2 update released

Huawei has released the first stable HarmonyOS 2 update for its 18 topmost devices which including Huawei Mate 40, Mate 30, P30, Mate X2, and MatePad Pro tablets. And with this, the company is speeding up the process of HarmonyOS rollout.

The Chinese OEM has also started the beta program for several Honor devices. This version will soon expand to more devices in the coming days. And the global users who are eagerly waiting to test the new HM OS will also soon get a chance to test the new version.

The HarmonyOS comes with a number of new changes with a brand new home screen, control panel, service widgets, smart folder, and more. The most exciting feature to try on the HarmonyOS is the super device which lets users control a bunch of devices using a single supermodel.

How to check for updates?

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Then click on System & updates
  •  After opening a Software update, tap on Check for updates option.
  • If the update is available to download then click Download and install.
  • And after installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the support app on your device
  • Then go to the Service tab
  • Click on the Update button and then tap on Check for update option
  • If the update is available then click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
