Huawei Nova 5T started receiving EMUI 10.1

Huawei has begun to rollout a major software release for Huawei Nova 5T which comes with EMUI 10.1 and new features.

Currently, this update is rolling out for the Asia region, whereas users in Europe may have to wait until mid or late July to get EMUI 10.1 for their Nova 5T device.

EMUI 10.1 for Huawei Nova 5T brings new features including Multi-window, Multi-Screen Collaboration, MeeTime, Smart charge mode and system optimizations for better experience.

SOFTWARE INFORMATION:

EMUI 10.1 OTA for Huawei Nova 5T comes with version 10.1.0.221 (C636E3R1P1). Users will have to download a 4.71GB software package.

Important: Software version, size, and rollout availability could be different in different countries.

HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATE:

[Through Settings] Settings – System & updates – Software update – CHECK FOR UPDATES – Download and install.

[Through Support App] Open Support App – Service Tab – Update – CHECK FOR UPDATES – Download and install.

This update introduces EMUI 10.1, designed to deliver a finer-tuned user experience with higher performance and a more secure system. This operating system, based on distributed technologies, enables you to seamlessly interact across devices and enjoy a diverse range of practical features, including mobile office, in different scenarios. Install this update to facilitate a more intelligent lifestyle.

Multi-screen collaboration:

  • Call answering: Allows you to pick up voice and video calls on your phone from your Huawei laptop.
  • File editing: Allows you to directly read and edit files on your phone from your Huawei laptop, and also share your phone’s network and sync notifications.

Multi-window:

Allows you to multitask with ease in Split-screen mode, and send messages using a floating window while watching videos or playing games. Swipe in from the left or right edge of the screen and pause to display the Multi-Window dock. Hold an app icon in the dock and drag it to the side of the screen to enter split-screen view, or touch an app icon to display it in a floating window.

MeeTime:

Adds the MeeTime feature, allowing you to make HD video calls with beauty effects over Wi-Fi or data traffic. Enables you to share your current screen for easier communication during video calls. You can also write and draw on the screen, as if talking face to face with the other party.

System performance:

Optimizes system stability for smoother performance.

Battery:

Adds the Smart Charge mode, reducing battery aging by adapting to your charging routine through AI learning and preventing the battery from being continuously charged when full. (This feature is enabled by default.)
