Huawei Nova 7i May 2021 security update brings apps and system improvements [EMUI 10.1]

In the midst of HarmonyOS 2.0 rollout, the company is also releasing a regular security update for its devices. As per the latest info, Huawei Nova 7i is getting a new software update that brings improvements for system stability and adds quick download shortcuts for several applications.

Along with the above-mentioned changes, the new firmware also installs May 2021 security update for improved system security and device stability. It can be identified with the EMUI 10.1 version and costs around 206MB of data.

Huawei Nova 6 SE in China is known as Nova 7i in the international market has made its place in the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta rollout. Though the company hasn’t yet released its HarmonyOS upgrade plan for the global users and we expect it soon. The Nova 7i currently runs on EMUI 10.1 and it didn’t receive the latest EMUI 11 upgrade.

Huawei May 2021 security patch details:

According to Huawei, the May 2021 security patch fixes different levels of exploits and issues including 3 critical, 10 high, and 4 medium levels of CVE for improved system security. Additionally, it resolves 13 hidden privacy issues found in the previous updates.
