[Update: Rolling out in India] Samsung Galaxy S20 One UI 3.1 update released with powerful features of Galaxy S21

On February 18, Samsung has started releasing the One UI 3.1 firmware update for the Galaxy S20 models in select countries. Now, the company is rolling out the One UI 3.1 features for the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra in India.

February 17, 2021:

Just recently, Samsung officially announced that it will start sending the latest One UI 3.1 firmware update to the Galaxy S20, Note 20, Note 10, S10, and many other Galaxy devices from now. This new version of One UI comes with some powerful features from the Galaxy S21 to the older flagship phones like Galaxy S20 and Note 20.

Following the official announcement, the Korean tech giant has begun releasing the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 features to the Galaxy S20 series flagships. The latest software update is currently rolling out in South Korea and Germany. It is expected to be available widely in the coming days.

With the One UI 3.1 update, the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra users will be able to shoot dynamic photos and videos with new smart camera features like improved Single Take, Object eraser tool, touch autofocus, autoexposure controller, and Multi Mic Recording.


Furthermore, after updating your Galaxy S20, head into your Settings to find One UI 3.1’s new Eye Comfort Shield mode that automatically adjusts the blue light based on the time of day. In addition, you can also remove metadata that reveals the location of photos before you share them.

Alongside this, the One UI 3.1 update included the February 2021 security patch which keeps your Galaxy S20 secure against 4 critical and 32 high levels of CVEs. Therefore, if you’ve owned a Galaxy S20 series phone then check for the update manually by heading to the device Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.
