One UI 4 will bring some cool new features and improvements, one of which is allowing users to set a wallpaper directly from the Google Photos app.

Enabling the ability to choose your preferred background image on Google Photos has always been one of the most common requests from customers. However, One UI 4 will fulfill this requirement. In the latest version of Samsung UI, the whole process is more direct and labor-saving.

Earlier, choosing a favorite picture from Google Photos as wallpaper for Samsung phones was a complete challenge. The user has to download the image from the app and go to the home screen to set the background image. But for now, all you have to do is swipe up on the image and press “Use As”, then click “Lock & Home Screen”.

However, for those who frequently change the background image and have more photos on Google Photos, this is the perfect way to discover something new and exciting. Furthermore, some users have previously reported that they cannot download photos from Google Photos.

Another small and pleasant addition to One UI 4 is the recommended folder colors, such as the content palette you extract from the background image.

We still don’t know when the final version of One UI 4 will be released on Samsung devices. However, if we look at the issue hopefully, some users will get the new UI before the end of 2021. Apart from this, users of Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will get One UI 4 first.
