In August this year, Samsung released the One UI 4 Beta program based on Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series in South Korea. Later, the company expanded this campaign to more S21 smartphone users in the United States, Germany, India, and the United Kingdom. It should be noted that the OEM has released two One UI 4 Beta versions so far.
Last year, the company launched the One UI 3 Beta activity based on Android 11 for the Galaxy S20 series in October 2020. Moving forward, the stable Android 11 update with One UI 3.0 functionality was released in early December 2020.
Now, the latest information shows that the stable version of the One UI 4.0 update based on Android 12 will be released for the Galaxy S21 series in December 2021. In contrast, an S21 user visited the Samsung community in South Korea and wanted to know when his handset get 5G standalone support on the Korea Telecom network.
After questioning, the Galaxy S manager said that it is still difficult to say when the Galaxy S21 will receive 5G SA support in South Korea. However, it is officially confirmed that One UI 4 development based on Android 12 is running for the Galaxy S21 series.
It is worth mentioning that the official confirmation that Samsung is actively cooperating with KT operators, it seems that this December will release a stable Android 12 update for Galaxy S21 series devices, which includes One UI version 4.0 and 5G SA support.
