Oppo will give 3 Android OS updates to its flagships and 4 years of security patches

Oppo has now joined the club with Google, Samsung, OnePlus, and Xiaomi – they are providing three Android updates to their smartphones.

From now, Oppo will deliver three major Android versions to its flagship Find X series. It will also provide four years of security patches to Find X, Reno, F, and K series devices. Oppo is planning to release ColorOS 12 for the 150 million users with over 110 device models.

The company has also started the first Android 12-based ColorOS 12 global beta for the Oppo Find X3 Pro in Indonesia and Malaysia. Oppo introduced ColorOS 12 for its smartphones in China last month.

The three major Android version upgrades include the flagship Find X series except for the Lite and Neo models. About other models, the Reno, F, and K series will get at two major Android versions, while the A series will get at least 1 major Android update.

In the security patch department, the company will give four years of security patches for phones in the Find X, Reno, F, and K series, and three years for the A-series.

The ColorOS 12 global launch event is set for October 11, wait for the clear picture.
