After rolling out a closed beta program for the OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone users now the OnePlus 9 smartphone series has started taking part in OxygenOS 13 (Android 13) closed beta program. Currently, this ‘Closed Beta Test for the OnePlus 9 series is only available to Indian consumers.

According to the information shared on the OnePlus forum, they are looking for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro Indian users to experience OxygenOS 13 (Android 13) first, and to improve the software experience for everyone by submitting feedback and sharing their suggestions. And those who want to test out the new software, it’s time to get involved.

Unlike the previous long-term Closes Beta Test, this is a short-term closed beta project (usually only a few versions are released) that focuses on the upcoming improvements of OxygenOS 13 for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. OnePlus has also said that only 200 OnePlus 9/9 Pro smartphone users are eligible devices for this closed beta program in India.

If someone releases an unstable CBT package and others download it out of curiosity, it can seriously hinder the OnePlus phone. Therefore, participants are linked to the CBT installation package and internal beta. Please do not share your content secretly with others. To join the project team, you will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with OnePlus.

It’s also worth noting that this program may require a Flash build, which requires a clean Flash. This means that it causes data loss. Hence, it is highly recommended that you always remember to save all your data.

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You are using the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro India variants.
  • You are an active member of the OnePlus community.
  • Willing to contact the OnePlus Telegram team regularly to report problems and suggestions.
  • The CBT version is not a stable version yet under development. After upgrading to the CBT version, you have to be patient and tolerate volatility and accept all risks.
  • You are required to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with OnePlus to be a member of this program.
