Samsung started to roll out the September 2022 Android security patch update for its Galaxy smartphone users earlier this month. So far, the company has expanded this update to a bunch of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S10 series phones are the latest to install the September 2022 security update.

What’s new? Samsung fixes a bunch of privacy and security-related issues and vulnerabilities with the September 2022 patch for its Galaxy devices, as mentioned on the support page. These include 21 high levels and 3 moderate levels of CVEs and 29 SVE items from Google and Samsung.

Besides these, the company brings some minor performance improvements in order to maintain the users’ experience. The Galaxy S10 phones are getting enhancements to system security and stability that ensure you a safe and seamless performance over your device.

Well, it should be mentioned that the Galaxy S10 series has finished installing all the major software updates, which means it will not get the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update. However, the low-range device of this lineup – Galaxy S10 Lite will get One UI 5.0 as its last major Android software update.

Samsung is releasing the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e, and Galaxy S10+ September 2022 security update with the One UI build version G970FXXSGHVI1, G973FXXSGHVI1, and G975FXXSGHVI1 respectively.

It’s worth mentioning that the update is released in some European countries including Greece, Poland, Switzerland, Southeast Europe, Italy, the Baltic region, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Romania, the Nordic countries, Portugal, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia.
