Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone. The devices are getting the May 2022 security patch that comes with fixes to several bugs and issues. The update includes Galaxy S22 camera features along with system stability and optimization and enhances the user experience.
The May 2022 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is currently available in India. The company is continuously rolling out the May 2022 security patch for its smartphones and tablets in different markets at a very rapid pace.

UPDATE 2: May 19 (02:53 ET) – Gets May 2022 Security Update – Europe
Most the Galaxy smartphones get the May 2022 security patch, and the latest folding Samsung phone is among them. As you may remember, the carrier-unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 3 received May 2022 patch in the United States last week. Now this update is expanding to the European market.
The new software package can be identified with the firmware version “F926BXXS1CVD2,”, the update does not seem to include any changes or new features other than enhanced security.
Users for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G in Europe where the new firmware is available can download it with the update notification once it arrives. Or they can head to your device Settings tap on Software updates and finally hit the Download and install button.

Samsung has started releasing the latest April 2022 Android security patch update for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 device owners. The update is currently released for the unlocked models in the US while the other region users are expected to grab it very soon.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 April 2022 update comes with One UI build version F711U1TBS2CVC9. While the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 April 2022 update can be identified via the firmware version F926U1UES1CVC9.
How to download manually:
The official changelog for the update doesn’t mention any new features or major changes. You might notice some minor changes and improvements after you install the latest security patch update on your device.
This update comes improves the security and stability of your device’s system as well as protects it from bugs and viruses. On the other hand, Samsung’s April 2022 security patch update fixes 88 privacy and security vulnerabilities from Google and Samsung, such as 27 high and 18 moderate levels of CVEs.
These vulnerabilities are released to improper access controls in S Secure, Samsung Contacts app, Knox Manage, StroageManager, StroageManagerService, One UI Home, Samsung DeX Home, and more. Additionally, it includes the ‘Dirty Pipe’ vulnerability that can leave the door open for hackers on devices running Android 12 and a newer kernel version (5.8 or higher).
Make sure that you backup your important data, so you won’t lose any important files. Although the upgrade procedure won’t replace or remove any of the corresponding data from your smartphone, it’s recommended to do so for extra safety measures.
