September 2020 security update rolling out for Huawei P30 Lite (EMUI 10.0.0.311)

Huawei is pushing a new software update for Huawei P30 Lite running EMUI 10.0. According to the changelog, this update brings September 2020 security patch with fixes for different levels of exploits and issues including 3 critical and 19 high levels of CVEs.

Previous information reveals that Huawei P30 Lite users will not get EMUI 10.1 but, the company already made it clear that users of this phone will keep on getting the monthly software upgrades.

  • The update will not erase any data.
  • Maintain enough storage and battery.
  • If possible, connect to Wifi.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for updates.
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates.
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates.
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates.
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  9. Reboot the device.
