Samsung Galaxy S10 at Verizon picks up May 2021 security update

Just recently, Samsung began to release June 2021 security patches for Galaxy S10 series devices in some European countries. At the same time, Verizon introduced a new software update for these phones in the United States, which includes security improvements.

According to the latest information, Verizon, a leading US network operator, is now rolling out the May 2021 Android patch to Samsung’s Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10 5G. Although OEMs are significantly improving their software development terms, network operators are not doing so.

Well, Verizon is gradually expanding this firmware. Users can identify this update by the PDA version number: G970USQU5GUE2, G973USQU5GUE2, G975USQU5GUE2, and G977UVRU6FUE2 for Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10 5G.

In addition to security improvements, the new Galaxy S10 series update also enhances the Quick Sharing feature of One UI 3.1 to make it easier to share files between Galaxy devices. However, the changelog (described below) also shows some additional bug fixes and performance improvements.

  • Open Settings
  • Then scroll down to Software updates
  • Finally, click on Download and install
