Apple Maps has started expanding the detailed city experience feature to more new markets. The effective functionality came into existence with iOS 15 in 2021. Although at that time, it was only available for four cities. As of now, the company is bringing the intuitive tweak to more locations.
Consequently, the detailed city experience feature in Apple Maps is a new way to navigate cities with a visually stunning 3D map that offers additional detail for neighborhoods, commercial districts, marinas, buildings, and more. On the other hand, users can see elevation details across a city, road labels, and a variety of custom-designed landmarks.
In the current scenario, locations that have gained access to detailed city experience are:
Atlanta, Berlin, Hamburg, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Miami, Montréal, Munich, New York, Paris, San Diego, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Sydney, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington, Dallas, and Houston (Texas). Here, Apple Maps comprises a rich 3D with custom-designed views.
