Nowadays, it is common to see malware-affected applications mainly on the Google Play Store. Although Google is working regularly to remove these apps, they are still present on some devices on which they were installed.

As per the latest information, Google has removed 7 Android apps from its Play Store due to security reasons. These 7 apps were infected by the joker (bread) malware, which has been identified by Tatyana Shishkova of security firm Kaspersky.

Google used the Play Protect service to disable the Joker virus-infected apps, but users should still need to manually check and remove them from devices. However, these apps have been downloaded by millions of users before being removed from the store.

  • Battery Charging Animations Battery Wallpaper
  • Dazzling Keyboard
  • Volume Booster Louder Sound Equalizer
  • Super Hero-Effect
  • Classic Emoji Keyboard

Previously, similar malware was also detected in files referencing the popular Netflix show Squid Game, and many users face similar issues. Google removed these Android malware apps as users reported some problems.

In various cybercrimes involving Trojan infections, these applications use methods such as false subscriptions and in-app searches, which may later be related to making illegal money.

Be careful not to open suspicious links from unknown sources. As more and more people are going online, cybercrime is on the rise, game services have also become the new den of such malicious activities.
