New Linked device UI:

This new UI is comes for WhatsApp web/Desktop. The label says “Use WhatsApp on other devices” but actually it’s still not possible because WhatsApp is still working on it. The button ‘Link device’ is used to create a new session with WhatsApp Web. In future it will be used to create sessions with other devices.

New Storage usage UI:

To reach the new Storage Usage, you have to open Storage and Data in WhatsApp Settings. You can notice that WhatsApp has changed the order of those sections here, giving priority to Storage Usage. After selecting Storage Usage you can finally see the new UI.

This is the content of the new Storage Usage:

  • The first section has a storage bar, useful to understand the portion of space occupied by all your WhatsApp media.
  • The second section helps us to review all shared files, in order to delete unnecessary media, so we can free up space.
  • Here we can see forwarded and large files (and we can also sort them). In this screenshot this section is missing because we’ve not currently forwarded and large files.
  • The last section contains the list of our chats as usual, with the possibility to search a specific chat.

Note: WhatsApp has recently submitted a few new updates through the TestFlight beta Program, but currently its closed. Unfortunately, with the new Storage Usage UI, it is no longer possible to delete specific media from a chat. A lot of users are disappointed and we hope to see an update that brings back this feature soon
