Some Google Pixel 7 users are very disappointed with the performance and a growing list of bugs. A new bug is preventing some Pixel 7 owners from capturing low-light macro images on their devices. In low light situations, you will be able to capture the photo but it won’t save it to the gallery.

According to a long thread on Reddit, some users are unable to take macro photos in low-light conditions with the flash on. You can also watch the embedded video below for a clear picture of the reported bug, the device used in the video is Google Pixel 7 Pro.
As reported, the affected Pixel 7 series devices were running Google Camera version 8.7.250.494820638.44. There’s no clear reason for this camera bug on Pixel 7 and 7 Pro devices.
In the Reddit discussion, one user found inside logcat that the issue could be related to HDR software. We will keep you updated on this issue.
