Apple foldable iPhones are being internally tested at Foxconn: Report

As of now, there is already a number of foldable devices available from companies such as Samsung and Huawei. And the other companies are also planning for their own foldable device. The fold smartphones will certainly gain a good amount of market share in comparison with normal smartphones in the coming days.

As nowadays the display size of the smartphone is getting bigger and the folding phone is the only possible way that can provide you with extra on-screen space in a compact size. However, the new innovations are on the way and we are also hearing about stretchable technology but it will take time to come in the real world.

Now getting back to the foldable smartphones, As per the latest news, Apple, the iPhone maker is also planning to enter into the folding phone market in the coming days. The US tech giant has already filed for a number of patents related to folding technology and now the latest report suggests that the company is internally testing a foldable phone at the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen, China.

With the test, the main aim is to focus on the durability of the hinge. It is expected that there are two different models that are being tested and the company will pick the best one and will eliminate the rest. Apple folding devices are equipped with Samsung’s flexible OLED display panel.

Further talking about when will the first folding devices from Apple will be available in the market. Currently, these models are internally tested and it will be too early to determine the launch date. Although there are speculations that it will as early as the end of 2022 or it could even go to the beginning of 2023.
