Android 12 Beta exposed Google Pixel 6 and Pixel Fold model numbers

Android 12 Beta was launched today for Pixel phones, and we found all models of Google-made phones that will be released in 2021, including the Pixel 6 series and the reported foldable “passport.”

This year’s “Made by Google” phone lineup was completely leaked unexpectedly, indicating that Google will launch Pixel 5a 5G in the middle of this year, and as many as three devices will be launched this fall, including the foldable codename “Passport.”

With the release of the first Android 12 Beta version, our colleague Dylan Roussel discovered new references to Google’s many Pixel devices in 2021. In one place, we even found models related to the codename of each upcoming Pixel device. Specifically, the models listed are for the Japanese version of Pixel 6 and other phones.

  • Barbet (Pixel 5a 5G) – G4S1M
  • Oriole (Pixel 6 family) – GR1YH
  • Raven (Pixel 6 family) – GF5KQ
  • Passport (Pixel foldable) – GPQ72

It is worth noting that the Passport model included in these documents does not necessarily confirm that Google will release a foldable phone with Pixel 6 this year.

Elsewhere in the list, we found the “Needlefish” model, the Pixel code name was first discovered in 2019, and we currently consider it to be a variant of the Pixel 4 equipped with a 5G connection. Knowing that Needlefish has never been released, this “passport” foldable device is likely to never appear.
