On April 14, OnePlus officially launched its two latest smartphones — the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus is offering 5G connectivity for both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.
OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro: Specifications
The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro come with the very latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with the X55 5G modem. There’s an 8/12GB of RAM with 128/256GB of storage. Both models also come with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and up to 9.6Gbps speed.
The OnePlus 8 has curved glass and a punch-hole notch. The 6.55-inch display comes in an FHD+ resolution at 90Hz with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It also packs with a 4,300mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T fast charging.
OnePlus 8 comes with the Sony IMX586, a 48MP primary, 16MP ultra-wide-angle, and 2MP macro lens. It has a 16MP front camera that is capable of 1080p 30fps video recording.
The OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch response. It has a punch-hole notch, and it has IP68-rating for water and dust resistance. It comes with wireless charging as standard. However, the Warp 30W wireless charging requires a proprietary charging base, although 5W charging is possible via the Qi standard. There is also 3W reverse wireless charging. It packs with a 4,510mAh.
At the rear, there’s a new Sony IMX689 48MP sensor with a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 8MP 3x telephoto zoom lens, and 5MP Color Filter lens.
About software, the OnePlus 8 series comes with the OxygenOS 10.5. OnePlus added smart charging to ensure the health of internal batteries when using Warp Charge 30W. OnePlus partnered with Google to offer a three-month trial of Google One, Live Caption support, and Stadia compatibility.

About pricing, the OnePlus 8 will cost $699 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, and $799 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The OnePlus 8 Pro will cost $899 and $999 for the same RAM and storage specs respectively.
The OnePlus 8 is available in Glacial Green and Interstellar glow, while the 8 Pro is available in 3 colors: Onyx Black, Glacial Green, and Ultramarine Blue.
