Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra’s camera score is lower than its predecessor: DXOMARK

Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 Ultra back on January 14 with a bunch of premium features such as a powerful processor, curved edge display, 5G connectivity, Dynamic AMOLED display, and much more. After the launch, the S21 Ultra becomes the first device to come with S-Pen functionality.

This smartphone has been getting good reviews around the world for its power-packed features and camera quality. The device comes with a number of camera functions along which also comes with the latest One UI 3.1 update.

According to the DXOMARK review, Galaxy S21 Ultra receives a lower mark in camera quality compared to Galaxy S20 Ultra. Its overall score is 121 but last year its predecessor got 126 scores. The Galaxy S21 Ultra received 128 points in the photo segment, 98 points in the video segment, and 76 points in the zoom segment.

While, the last year’s Galaxy S20 Ultra received 128 points in the photo segment, 106 points in the video segment, and 88 points in the zoom segment. This shows the Galaxy S21 Ultra is not better than the Galaxy S20 Ultra in video and zoom quality. The  zoom cameras were not that good as what was expected with the handset.

Regarding video quality Galaxy S21 Ultra received a score similar to the Pixel 4a. DxOMark only tested the 4K 60fps mode and it does not check the 4K 30fps and 8K 24fps because of its lower quality stabilization.

While the Galaxy S21 Ultra has not proves up to expectations of the DXOMARK, but some expert believes that it’s having the best camera quality. So, it’s up to the users what they see in the camera of this smartphone.
