Sony Xperia Ace II 5.5-inch compact smartphone key specs surfaced ahead of launch

Following the first images of the compact Sony Xperia Ace II smartphone, the device has appeared in the Google Play Console database, indicating an imminent launch of the phone.

The Google Play Console database confirms that the Sony Xperia Ace II is an entry-level phone that comes with a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and 4GB of RAM. It runs on the Android 11 operating system.

An image posted to the Google Play Console of the Xperia Ace II confirms that it has a waterdrop notch screen for the front camera. The display resolution is 720 x 1496 pixels. The smartphone runs under the model number SO-41B.

The smartphone will receive a side fingerprint scanner, a dual main camera, and a branded additional button on the side. According to previous info, the phone is equipped with a 5.5-inch display as well as a 3.5mm audio jack.

Rumor has it that this device will be available exclusively in Japan. It is expected to replace the Xperia Ace phone that debuted back in 2019. Japanese operator DoCoMo will hold a press conference on the launch of new smartphones on May 19. The Sony Xperia Ace II and Sharp Aquos R6 are expected to be unveiled at the event.
