Apple Watch Series 6 launched, here’s everything you need to know

Apple launched Apple Watch Series 6 in the Apple event adding some new features such as blood oxygen monitoring with the new WatchOS 7 and introducing many new colors. The Watch also features some new strips introducing a new solo loop and many other strip options to choose from. Here’s everything about this new Watch Series 6.

Here are the new features of Watch Series 6

The new next-generation Apple Watch comes with a similar design as Series 4 and Series 5 but with new internals and new finish added. The Watch comes in 40mm and 44mm size with a more improved always-on retina display.

The blood oxygen sensor is a key feature of the Watch which measures the amount of oxygen in your blood. Blood oxygen tells about your proper heart and brain functionality. Apple Watch with the inbuilt app for blood oxygen monitoring tracks the amount of oxygen on your blood in just 10 seconds and makes you alert when it comes abnormal.

With the ECG app, Apple Watch Series 6 is capable of generating an ECG similar to a single-lead electrocardiogram. The ECG app can read your heart electrical signals in just 30 seconds and indicates you when your heart shows an irregular heart rhythm.

The Watch Series 6 comes with a brand new S6 Processor with new sensors which is faster as compared to the S5 used in Series 5. It also features an altimeter which is used to measure the altitude of an object above a fixed level.

Series 6 with new strips and colors

Apple introduced many new cases and designs with multiple color options to choose from. The Watch Series 6 comes in a new (product) red and blue aluminum cases.

It comes in a range of different materials which include titanium, stainless steel, and 100% recycled aluminum. Apple slipped on something new introducing a seamless solo loop without any buckle. You can directly wear it on your wrist.

It is available in two different materials First is the solo loop made up of stretchable silicon which is ultra-comfortable, lightweight, and easy to slip on and off. The other option is the braided solo loop which is made from silicon thread with over 16000 polyester yarn filament. Due to its texture, it looks more beautiful. These new solo loop strips are available in nine different sizes to fit in perfectly on your wrist.

More on Watch Series 6

Other than the color options this new Watch is capable of doing more with many new features included. Apple improved the always-on retina display from before as it is now more brighter outdoors when your wrist is down. So, you can see information on your Watch more easily than ever. Apple also added many options to customize your Watch faces and also included many custom Watch Faces to your Watch to choose from.

Now you can access features such as Phone and Message, Apple Pay, Siri, and Maps directly from your wrist without your iPhone. And with the cellular, you can stay connected to your family no matter where you are even when you don’t have your phone. The Watch also charges 20x faster than the older Series 5 and the new S6 chip increases its battery life even more.

The Watch will be available to buy on September 18 on Apple’s official website with two options, GPS and GPS+Cellular.
