NASA reveals ‘Wit’ Mars helicopter close-up images

On April 7 NASA released a close-up photo of the “Wit” Mars helicopter. The photo was taken on April 5, 2021, by the “Mastcam-Z” Mars rover’s zoom camera (Mastcam-Z).

The solar panels and propellers of the “Wizwit” have been covered with a layer of ash. Although the helicopter has been baptized by wind and sand for two nights, the helicopter is still in good condition.

The “Gizwit” flight, NASA will hold a press conference at 13 o’clock on April 9th, US Eastern Time to introduce the latest operation details of “Gizwit” As well as the date of the first flight, it is officially estimated that the first flight will not be earlier than April 11.

If the first flight goes smoothly, NASA will hold a press conference again at 11 o’clock on April 12th, US Eastern Time (23:00 on April 12th, Beijing time) to explain the situation after the maiden flight of “Wisdom”.
