OnePlus has invited the older flagships including the OnePlus 7 and 7T series under the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta testing activity. Moving forward, these phones have received the first OxygeOS 11 testing firmware via over-the-air.
According to the OnePlus, the BBK-owned company is now pushing a new firmware update to the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro devices. Identified as OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 6, the new software update for these phones installs the January 2021 security patch which helps to fight against different threats and exploits.
Talking about the revisions, the Open Beta 6 for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro brings optimizations for several system functions such as UI display of the status bar, stability of frame rate, interface of the Community homepage, as well as fixes the drop-down menu crashing issue of Browser.

Besides, it also adds a new dashboard that displays various information, including daily steps, screen usage time, etc. Furthermore, the sixth Open Beta update also optimizes animations for sunny and cloudy days of the Weather app. You can also check the official changelog below.
Note: OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro OxygenOS 11 Open Beta participants will receive this new build as an OTA.
