Tesla Gigafactory Texas has successfully built its 20,000th Model Y

According to the report, after the 10,000th Model Y was produced on September 17, Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory, which has been continuously increasing its production capacity, has stepped to a new level and has produced the 20,000th vehicle of Model Y.

Tesla announced the news on Sunday. They said on social media that the Texas Gigafactory has produced 20,000 Model Ys. The Tesla Texas Super Factory is located in Austin, about 15 minutes from downtown Austin. The model was determined in July 2020.

After the site was determined, the construction started soon. After nearly two years of construction, held a grand opening ceremony on April 7 this year. It is planned to be used for the production of Model Y and the electric pickup truck Cybertruck.

Model Y is the first model to be produced, and it is currently the only model produced and delivered by this super factory. Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory, which only held its opening ceremony in April, has not been put into operation for a long time and is still in the process of increasing its production capacity.

Tesla announced on social media on September 17 that the Texas Gigafactory had produced 10,000 Model Y units, doubling Model Y production in just 43 days from September 17 to October 30.

With the rapid increase in Model Y production at the Texas Gigafactory, coupled with the Fremont, California factory, Tesla’s ability to meet the North American market will be further enhanced, which will further boost their production and deliveries.
