It’s a new day and WhatsApp has started working on another useful feature namely, Link with phone number. As the term reflects, the latest tweak will let you link your account with the WhatsApp web without the requirement of scanning a QR code.
According to the information, WhatsApp is testing the new link with the phone number feature with the Android 2.23.14.18 beta version. Yes, the change is in the development phase and is only available to a handful of beta testers. Though we can expect it coming soon to the general public.
Speaking of the feature, the new option will show up when using the link device feature. One can easily connect a device utilizing their main account phone number and a one-time code generated by WhatsApp web.
Further, to link a device to your account, you need to open the WhatsApp web on the desktop device you wish to link and select the new option. Lastly, you can enter your phone number along with your country. Hereafter, you will receive an 8-character code which you need to enter in WhatsApp.
