Xiaomi has released a new MIUI 12.5 beta update with version 21.7.6 in China. It brings a bunch of fixes for the status bar, notification bar, and system for a better experience.

As per the changelog, the update fixes several issues including the logic of displaying icons in the notification filter function, display abnormality of unimportant notification application icons, and probabilistic wireless charging failure.
Apart from this, the previous reports suggest that it may be the last MIUI beta version as from the next version MIUI 13 beta testing started. However, MIUI Open Beta updates have been suspended from July 07 to July 16, 2021.

The MIUI 12.5 supports Android gesture Turbo which provides an extremely fast response in the system and upgraded its computing power. According to Xiaomi, MIUI 12.5 is lighter, faster, and cheaper. The system user interface was rewritten, so the memory usage is reduced by 20%, and the background memory usage is less by an average of 35%, system application power consumption decreased by an average of 25%, and more.
