ASUS could launch the Z690 motherboard on October 28, suggest  a tipster

According to the latest report, Videocardz exposed many parameters of ASUS’s upcoming Z690 series motherboards. These motherboards will be released together with Intel’s latest 12th generation processors at 0:00 on October 28. Moreover, a total of 5 ASUS ROG Strix series motherboards were exposed this time, including Z690-A, Z690-F, Z690-E, Z690-G (mATX), and ROG Maximus Z690 Glacial Extreme.

ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A will be the entry-level motherboard of the ASUS Strix series. The entire motherboard features white heat-dissipating armor and cyan RGB lights. This motherboard supports DDR4 memory, which is very attractive for users who do not want to buy DDR5 memory.

Moreover, the I/O interface on the back of the motherboard has 8 USB Type-A and 2 USB Type-C interfaces, an Ethernet interface, WiFi antenna connector, DP and HDMI video output interfaces, and 5 audio jacks. From the perspective of the number of M.2 cooling vests, the motherboard supports up to four M.2 solid-state hard drives, of which the bottom M.2 solid-state drive radiator is the largest, which can accommodate two solid-state drives at the same time.

There are also two PCIe x 16 slots and one PCIe x 1 slot on the motherboard. Presumably, the top PCIe slot supports PCIe 5.0, while the bottom and middle slots should only support PCIe 4.0 or PCIe 3.0.

Furthermore,  ASUS ROG Strix Z690-F should be the mid-range product in the ASUS Strix series. However, according to the picture, it is temporarily impossible to see any difference between Z690-F and Z690-A in terms of interface expansion capabilities. Z690-F seems to be the all-black version of Z690-A.

ASUS ROG Strix Z690-E has significant upgrades compared to Z690-A and Z690-F. The motherboard I/O interface has eight USB Type-A and two USB Type-C interfaces. Asus also managed to provide a third PCIe x 16 slot on the motherboard. Judging from the number of capacitors next to the VRM, the Z690-E seems to be equipped with a strong power transmission system, which will be an excellent choice for overclocking Intel’s 12th generation processors.

Besides, ASUS ROG Strix Z690-G the most interesting aspect of this generation should be the addition of the mATX motherboard, which ASUS named Rog Strix Z690-G. Since the Intel 400 series chipset, there is currently no mATX Strix series motherboard, which is undoubtedly an additional choice for consumers who want to assemble a small case.

The motherboard is based on the Z690-F, both have the same layout of the back I/O interface, including 8 USB Type-A and 2 USB-Type-C interfaces, as well as an audio interface, an Ethernet interface, and WiFi Connection interface, DP and HDMI video output interface, there are two PCIe x 16 slots and one PCIe x 1 slot. Due to the positioning of the motherboard, there are only two M.2. SSD slots.

Finally, ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme Glacial ASUS ROG’s brand new Maximus Z690 Extreme Glacial. This motherboard will be one of Asus’ flagship motherboards, and the entire CPU and VRM area will be covered with water cooling devices. This design will be the best choice for overclocking Intel’s 12th generation processors.
