Intel Xe-HP GPU real camera images exposed

According to the latest report, Intel executive and chief architect Raja Koduri posted a real shot of the self-developed Xe-HP GPU on Twitter. This high-performance GPU is designed for servers. The package uses an LGA similar to the processor and offers three form factors.

He said that Intel Xe-HP GPU has been deployed in the oneAPI devcloud cloud service and used as a development tool for oneAPI and Aurora software.

Moreover, he also said that Intel currently does not plan to commercialize the Xe-HP series of GPUs, which are different from Xe-HPG gaming graphics cards and Xe-HPC. The latter two products will be launched on the market.

Furthermore,  the Xe-HP series of high-performance GPUs have three sizes, encapsulating 1, 2, and 4 cores respectively, which is consistent with the roadmap announced by Intel on the 2020 Architecture Day.

In terms of parameters, this product integrates the HBM2e cache chip, which provides higher speed and greater capacity density than independent DRAM. This series of graphics processors can be used for machine learning, media transcoding, and other purposes.

Intel will also launch Xe-HPG gaming graphics cards for the civilian market, code-named Alchemist Arc. This type of product will be packaged in BGA, equipped with GDDR6 memory chips, and support optical tracking.

In addition, the computing acceleration graphics card series for workstations and servers is Xe-HPC, code-named Ponte Vecchio, which will also be equipped with HBM2e cache and can integrate up to two GPU cores. This series of products is expected to be officially unveiled in 2022.
