Huawei has finally confirmed EMUI 12 as the next major software rollout for global Huawei smartphone users, which is great news from our point of view. Even though the rollout will begin in 2022, people around the world can still wait as there are so many different devices involved.
Interestingly, Huawei EMUI 12 includes Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 as a flagship software and also smartphones like Y9s and Y8s. These phones were left with the EMUI 11 software update and running only the software version at the lowest level.
According to Huawei, EMUI 12 will debut in the first half of 2022. However, the upgrade extension process is likely to continue till the second half of the year. Meanwhile, beta testing of the top-qualified models – the Mate 40 and P40 series – may begin next month, but we need to get confirmation from the company.
Meanwhile, we have noticed that the list does not mention smartphones like Y9a and Y7p. This happened because of the availability of devices that are limited to the European market or other markets. Therefore, we may also have to wait for this confusion to be cleared.
EMUI 12 comes with a brand new user interface that looks intuitive and brings a smooth look to the users. The latest EMUI version features brand new animations that give you the best ever user experience on any previous EMUI software.
Moreover, the new addition of Control Panel gives you the best available solution in terms of all in one view and collects a different range of options in one place. It includes a media controller – WiFi, Bluetooth, and more. There is also a feature called Device+ that helps you manage all your smart connected devices at once without the need for any third-party software.
EMUI 12 definitely comes with a fresh user experience and is designed for the next generation of smartphone owners. Shaking up the vibe of HarmonyOS without leaving the Android base.
We hope Huawei starts testing EMUI 12 as soon as we can as we can’t wait for you to review it.
