At the start of the year, Huawei is still releasing December 2020 security patch to most of its devices and as per the latest information (Via – Huawei Central), Huawei has released a new update for the P40 series users in Europe. It brings the latest December 2020 security update along with new a feature and optimizations.
The latest update brings the new fast file transfer feature to transfer the large files with high speed although the changelog does not mention this feature but as per the info, it comes along with this update.
The flash file transfer feature is currently available for smartphones running EMUI 11 in China. However, the Chinese phone maker has started to expand this update to other regions as well. This new feature allows users to share files at the speed of 305Mbps and up to the size of 400GB files can be shared.

Apart from the latest security improvement and the new file transfer feature, this update does not bring any other changes for the devices. Also, it is rolling out in batches so it may take some time to reach your device.

Download via Settings:
- Go to settings
- Click on System & updates
- Then open software updates
- Tap on the check for updates option
- Then download and install the update, if available
- After installation, reboot the device
Download via Support app:
- Open support app on your device
- Go to the service tab
- Click on the update button
- then tap on Check for update option
- Click on download if the update is available
- After the download, reboot the device for installation
