Huawei launched the P30 series last year, including two models, Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. Now, these two smartphones receiving new software update n China that brings the August 2020 security patch.

Huawei yet to complete EMUI 10.1 update for the P30 series in Central Asia and Russia.

CHANGELOG:

Integrated Android security patches released in August 2020 for improved system security.

SECURITY PATCH DETAILS:

It fixes a different level of exploits and issues listed below:

Severe: CVE-2020-11116

High: CVE-2020-0241, CVE-2020-0242, CVE-2020-0243, CVE-2020-0108, CVE-2020-0239, CVE-2020-0247, CVE-2020-0249, CVE-2020-0238, CVE-2020-0258, CVE-2020-0257, CVE-2020-0250, CVE-2020-0248, CVE-2020-0256, CVE-2020-0240, CVE-2020-12464, CVE-2019-16746, CVE- 2020-10751, CVE-2020-11115, CVE-2020-11118

VERSION:

• Upgrade to 10.1.0.162 from 10.1.0.165 in China.

POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE UPDATE:

• The update will not erase any data.
• Sometimes update size may vary.
• Maintain enough storage and battery.
• If possible, connect to Wifi.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

1. Open Settings in your device.
2. Click on system & updates.
3. Click on software update.
4. Check for update
5. Click on the download button.
6. Install updates
7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

1. Open Support app in your device.
2. If not installed, download it from play store.
3.  Open service tab.
4. Tap on update.
5. Check for updates
6. Click on the download button.
7. Install updates
8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
9. Reboot the device.
