Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 gets September 2020 security update (EMUI 10.0.0.291)

Huawei is sending the September 2020 security update for Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 for more security with EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.291. This device is still running EMUI 10 and not yet received EMUI 10.1.

On the other hand, Huawei has started EMUI 11 beta testing for some devices which include Huawei P40, Mate 30, and MatePad pro series, and these devices have already received their first beta software update.

  • The update will not erase any data.
  • EMUI version and size may vary from region to region
  • Maintain enough storage and battery.
  • If possible, connect to WiFi.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for updates.
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates.
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates.
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates.
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  9. Reboot the device.
